RUTHIE
The morning sun shone through a crack in the curtains. I rolled over trying to avoid it, and rolled right into the warm chest of Mason. âGood morning,â he mumbled sleepily. He moved his arm and pulled me tighter to him. âHow did you sleep?â
âMore peaceful than Iâve ever slept before.â My eyes grew heavy, but I needed to know something. âMason, is it always like that?â I whispered, afraid someone would hear if I said it any louder.
âItâs kind of like kissing, sometimes itâs tender like last night, and sometimes, itâs just fucking,â he whispered in my ear. An electrical sensation flowed through me, and I wanted his touch again.
âHow many women have you slept with?â It was an insane question. What right did I have to know? They happened before me and I didnât think heâd been an angel. My father had always warned me to stay away from him and I assumed it was because he wasnât from the group, but maybe it was for other reasons.
âWhy do you want to know?â He sighed, and I expected him to let me go and move away from me but he didnât.
âI donât know,â I mumbled quietly. Why was I suddenly the insecure girl who had to know?
âRuth, why?â
âBecause Iâm jealous of every girl whoâs woken up beside you, stolen your kisses, and had you in them.â Squeezing my eyes shut, I hoped he wasnât looking at me. I could feel my cheeks blazing red and it wasnât from the sun coming through the open drapes.
âOpen your eyes, Ruth.â His voice was commanding and even if I wanted to ignore him and pretend I was asleep, I couldnât. Opening my eyes, I looked into his dark ones. âIâve never kept count of the women Iâve had, but I guarantee that there will never be anyone other than you again.â He gently kissed my cheek, and I nodded.
I was a little disappointed, but what was I going to do with that information? Mason Gatlin was my husband, it was my bed he was in, why would I be worried about anyone else? Because Iâd been told to never trust worldly men. Mason hadnât given me any reason not to trust him, though.
As if he was reading my thoughts, he moved his hand to cup my breast. âStop thinking about other women, why would I need anyone else when I have you? For a woman whoâs never been with a man, youâre a fast learner. Are you sore?â He slid his hand down my abdomen, stopping between my legs. Dipping his finger between my lips, he quickly found my clit and slowly circled it. âRuth, youâre wet. Did thinking of me with other women turn you on?â
Sighing, I wasnât sure I would be able to talk, he was already making me forget how to speak. âNo, I was dreaming of you inside me.â
âWell, would you like me to make your dreams come true?â he whispered before nibbling on my ear. Sliding a finger in me, I was surprised that it didnât hurt, but it wasnât the same as his cock.
